This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit unicadesignsolutions.com (the "Website") or contact us by email.

We are responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Because our services are offered to clients in India, we also apply India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") to the personal data of individuals located in India (see the section "If you are in India" below).

Our approach

The Website is designed to collect as little data as possible. It has no user accounts, no contact forms, no newsletter, no analytics, no advertising and no social media plugins. It does not use cookies (see our Cookie Policy). Fonts are served from our own server, not from third-party font services.

There are only two situations in which personal data is processed: when you visit the Website, and when you choose to write to us.

1. When you visit the Website

To deliver the pages to your browser, the servers that host the Website automatically receive technical information that your browser sends with every request. This includes your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, your browser type and operating system, and the referring page.

This data is processed solely to deliver the Website, to keep it secure and stable, and to detect and prevent abuse. We do not use it to identify you, build profiles, or track your activity across websites, and we do not combine it with other data.

The Website is hosted by Vercel Inc., based in the United States, which processes this data on our behalf. Log data is retained by the hosting provider only for a limited period necessary for operation and security, after which it is deleted.

2. When you write to us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message, including any attachments such as drawings or project documents.

We use this information only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to discuss and carry out your project. We keep your correspondence for as long as necessary for that purpose and for any retention period required by law, and then delete it.

Our email service is provided by SiteGround, which stores messages on our behalf.

Please do not send us sensitive personal data by email unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

Service providers and international transfers

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. The only third parties that process personal data are the two service providers named above, which act on our behalf and under our instructions:

• Vercel Inc. (United States) — website hosting
• SiteGround — email hosting

Vercel is located in the United States. Transfers to the United States take place on the basis of the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or, where that does not apply, on the basis of contractual safeguards recognised under Swiss law.

We may also disclose personal data if we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

• ask whether we process personal data about you and obtain a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted, unless we are required by law to keep it;
• object to the processing of your data;
• receive data you have provided to us in a commonly used format, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@unicadesignsolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

If you believe that we have not handled your data correctly, you may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch, or the data protection authority in your country.

If you are in India

If you are located in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to the personal data we process about you, and we act as the Data Fiduciary.

What we process and why. The only personal data we process is described above: technical data needed to deliver the Website, and the information you voluntarily provide when you write to us. We use the information in your email only for the purpose for which you sent it — answering your enquiry and, if you wish, discussing your project — and for no other purpose.

Your rights. Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you, the processing we carry out, and the service providers with whom it is shared;
• have your personal data corrected, completed, updated or erased, unless we are required by law to keep it;
• nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity;
• have your grievances addressed through a readily available means of redress.

We will respond within the period required by law, and in any case within 90 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.

Transfers. Your data is processed outside India, in Switzerland and in the United States, by us and by the service providers listed above, for the purposes described in this policy.

Children

The Website and our services are intended for professionals and adults. We do not knowingly process personal data of individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has written to us, please let us know and we will delete the correspondence.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. The Website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Please note that ordinary email is not end-to-end encrypted; if you need to share confidential project documents, let us know and we can agree on a more secure way to exchange them.

Links to other websites

The Website contains links to external websites, such as those of hotels featured in our project references. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our Website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our Website or our services change. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
